It is said that Krma phala never goes futile! In some Puranas, it is believed that Jara was the reincarnation of Vali (the monkey king of Ramayana era). Lord Rama had killed Vali hidding and he granted a boon that Vali would be allowed to shoot Rama in his next birth (as Krishna).

The 'wilderness of life' refers to difficult, confusing or lonely period when you feel lost! You find difficult to manage the phase but should be patient as 'wilderness' is not a permanent home!
